An Occupational Therapist by training, Elaine Rodriguez practices and promotes the use of meaningful activities to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Having learned to cross-stitch, embroider and most recently, brazilian embroidery, from family members in Los Angeles, CA and La Joya, Veracruz, traditional needlework has always been practiced as a community gathering. She hopes to continue sharing this tradition of building community and promoting healing one stitch at a time.
