Participants will learn the basics of screen printing and embroidery, and the role of traditional arts as community activism. No previous experience required. Each participant will take home a screen printed tote bag which they embroider, a engraved commemorative embroidery hoop and a small embroidery kit. Space limited to 15 participants, per workshop.
The workshop will be co-facilitated by our first Summer 2017 ¡SaludARTE! Visiting Artist-in-Residence, Elaine Margarita Rodriguez, a master at embroidery, as well as a jaranera!
